McGeoch LCS Junction Boxes

McGeoch has developed a new, innovative range of LCS Junction Boxes, fully tested and will be certified by all the relevant authorities including BASEEFA (click on links in table below for examination certificate and report) and conforming to all international standards for use in Zone 2 (Ex N II T5 IP68   Ta = -20°C to + 29°C). They are therefore ideal for potentially explosive and other hostile or hazardous environments, especially where flammable gases may be present, in applications throughout the marine & submarine, offshore, oil & gas and petrochemical industries.

McGeoch LCS Junction Boxes are constructed from 2mm mild steel plate. The removable lid and gland plates are fitted with silicone sponge gaskets. Gland plates are provided on four sides for the fitment of cable glands. The ranges consists of Models W4 and W6.

The gland plate sealing gaskets are adhered to the gland plates with a silicone adhesive. The junction boxes have been manufactured and tested to an ingress protection specification IPx8 of 1 meter for 2 hours.

All junction boxes in the range are fitted with Entrelec MA2.5-5 VO or Weidmuller SAK 6 terminals. The W4 junction box may be fitted with up to 208 of these terminals and the W6 up to 312 terminals.
