Having secured the total lighting contract for the British Royal Navy's new Astute Class Submarine and Type 45 Class Destroyers, the newly-formed Offshore Division of McGeoch Technology is now taking the company's comprehensive range of lighting one huge step further with the development of specialist units for explosive atmospheres, using state-of-the-art led technology and designed to meet the future of low energy, high efficiency and environmental lighting demands of the oil and gas industries.
Under the brand name of Commander and Endurance, all our lights are ATEX approved and ATEX classified. They are free from electronic ballasts, factory sealed to IP68 and fully IP68 rated. As these new units are a solid state light source they require zero maintenance. They also have no bi or mono pins.
